Dedicated to Man_Boobs - Stay Gold, Man_Boobs, Stay Gold

The following clips are purely for the benefit of my buddy, Dave, aka Man_Boobs_in_Va. To fully appreciate this video, it may be best to read his recent post Best fewed in the order from top to bottom. For Dave, and the other 3 people in the world that have not seen "The Outsiders" it is a 1980's filmed based on the SE Hinton book. In the movie there are several big names - early in their careers - -Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, C.Thomas Howell, Ralph Macchio & Matt Damon . . . .to name a few . .

Geesh, I feel like I am doing an 8th grade book report - -FLASHBACK!

Dave, you would appreciate the movie - - - OVERLY MELODRAMATIC. In the following scenes: Clip 1) Johnny (Ralph Macchio) & C. Thomas Howell are having to hide out at an old church in the country after Johnny has stabbed a "Soc" (pronounced Sosh - -as in social). Johnny & Pony Boy are "Greasers . . and the Socs & Greasers are always "rumbling".  During one of these episodes Johnny stabs a Soc and has to go into hiding.  This is one of the poignant moments shared between Johnny & Pony Boy.  Clip 2 is after a picnic goes horribly wrong.  After returning to their hideout - - Johnny & Pony Boy find the old church on fire - -with trapped children inside.  Johnny risks his life, saving all of the trapped children, but becoming horribly injured and subsequently succumbing to his injuris.  The second Clip features the tear jerking moments before Johnny croaks . . .









And of course, I would be remiss if I were to leave out Dally's (played by Matt Dillon) gripping reaction to Johnny's death  . . . .
