Week 1 Day 1 100/200/200 push ups/sit ups/squats

For the next piece of my fitness puzzle - I have began the 100/200/200  Push Ups/ Sit Ups/ Squats program.

Before starting the program - -there is a baseline evaluation for your fitness level for each exercise.  I performed mine last week.  It is important to me to mazimize the benefits of all of my exercise now - -so good form is a necessity and I made it a point that I adhered to it.  Examples of each exercise are available at the program's website.

Evaluation Test Results:

Push Ups - 8
Sit Ups - 16
Squats - 60

Once the baseline has been established, you match your performance with the ranges on the training schedules for your corresponding week

Based on my results my workout for week one was:
Week 1
Push ups      Day 1           Day2        Day 3
Set 1              6                  6               8
Set 2              6                  8              10
Set 3              4                  6              7
Set 4              4                  6              7
Set 5      max(min 5)       (min 7)       ( min 10)

There is a 60 second recovery period between each set.  My set 5 max was 7 push ups; for a total of 27 push-ups completed

Week 1
Sit ups        Day 1           Day 2         Day 3
Set 1            9                  9                12
Set 2            9                  12              15
Set 3            6                  9                11
Set 4            6                  9                11
Set 5    max(min 8)        (min 10)    (min 15)

My set max was 10 sit ups; for a total of 40 sit ups completed - - these also have a 60 second recovery period between sets

Week 1
Squats      Day 1           Day 2            Day 3
Set 1         13                  13                15
Set 2         16                  16                20
Set 3         9                    13                13
Set 4         9                    13                13
Set 5  max(min 13)       (min 16)       (min 16)

My set max was 15 squats; for a total of 62 squats completed - - these also have a 60 second recovery period between sets.

I was happy with my performance;  even better was that Jackson exercised with Daddy the entire time - - he was my stretching coach in between sets - -his own program - -  that included frog jumps, arm twirls, a bit of dancing and just general merriment.  Although my first night of the exercise program was a success, my biggest thrill was Jackson's working right along side Daddy . . .
